Product variant and SKU generator

Paste your product's property axes — one per line, like "Color: Red, Blue, Green" and "Size: S, M, L" — and this tool builds every variant combination, with a ready-made SKU for each row. It turns a handful of option axes into the full row set a store platform, spreadsheet or PIM expects on import, without hand-typing every combination.

The SKU template controls how each code is built: {axes} inserts every axis's abbreviated value joined by your chosen separator, {v1}, {v2} and so on address one axis individually for a different order or literal text between them, and {seq} inserts a sequential number that starts at your chosen starting number and pads to a consistent width. Abbreviation length sets how many characters of each value are kept, uppercase normalizes the whole code, and exclude combinations drops specific pairings — say a color that never ships in a given size — by listing the values that must appear together, separated by semicolons. Turn on price and stock to add both columns to every row, ready for a bulk update.

Axis lines are read leniently: a line without a colon or without values is skipped, and Windows and Unix line endings are treated the same. Because the row count multiplies with every axis, the tool caps the combination total to keep the browser responsive — reduce the number of axes or values if you hit that limit.

The output is plain CSV, ready to paste into a spreadsheet or import tool. Everything runs in your browser: nothing about your product catalog is uploaded anywhere. Copy the result, download it as a .txt file, or send it back into the input to refine the axes further.

FAQ

What placeholders can I use in the SKU template?
{axes} inserts all axis abbreviations joined by the separator, {v1}, {v2}, etc. address one axis at a time in the order it appears in your input, and {seq} inserts the sequential number.
How do I exclude specific combinations?
List the values that must appear together in a rule, separated by commas, and separate multiple rules with a semicolon — for example "Red,XL; Blue,S" drops any red/XL and blue/S variant.
Can I add price and stock to the CSV?
Yes. Turn on the price and stock columns to add both to every row, using the values you set.
Is there a limit to how many variants I can generate?
Yes, the tool caps the total combinations to keep the page responsive. If you hit the limit, reduce the number of axes or values per axis.
Is my product data uploaded anywhere?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser — your axes and variant data never leave your device.
