Round numbers

Rounding numbers is one of the most common tasks in data processing, reporting, and calculations. This tool automatically finds every number in your text and rounds it to the decimal places you choose. Paste a list of measurements, calculations, currency values, or any text containing numbers, and the tool rounds all of them at once with zero left behind.

The rounding follows standard mathematical rules: .5 and above rounds up, below .5 rounds down. Negative numbers round the same way. Decimals are trimmed to your chosen precision, integers stay as whole numbers, and everything else in your text — letters, punctuation, line breaks, emoji — stays exactly as it was.

Perfect for financial analysis, scientific data, survey results, and inventory counts. Whether you're working with pricing tables, laboratory measurements, statistical summaries, or sensor readings, you can round all numbers to your exact specification instantly. The tool works on any scale — from a single digit to thousands of values in a single paste.

All processing happens in your browser, so your data never leaves your device. No uploads, no servers, complete privacy. The live tally shows exactly how many numbers were found and rounded. Your text remains untouched except for the rounding itself — no reformatting, no data loss.

FAQ

How does rounding work?
Numbers are rounded to your chosen decimal places. The rounding follows JavaScript's behavior: 2.5 rounds to 3, 3.5 rounds to 4 (rounding to the nearest integer when .5 is encountered). For decimals, 1.235 with 2 places rounds to 1.24, and 2.71 with 0 places rounds to 3.
Will it round integers?
Integers (whole numbers with no decimal point) are found and passed through unchanged if you choose 0 decimal places. If you choose 2 or more decimal places, they gain .00, .01, etc., though this rarely matters in practice.
Does it handle negative numbers?
Yes. Negative numbers are rounded the same way as positive ones: −2.5 with 0 decimals becomes −2, and −2.75 with 1 decimal becomes −2.8.
What if my text has no numbers?
The tool returns your text unchanged and shows a count of 0 numbers found. The tally updates to reflect that no rounding occurred.
Is my data safe?
Yes. All rounding happens entirely in your browser. Your text is never uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
