Subscription cost calculator
Turn a list of subscriptions into monthly and annual totals, sorted by cost.
Subscription cost calculator
Paste a list of subscriptions, one per line, as service;amount;period;currency — for example Netflix;15.99;monthly;USD — and this tool converts every line to a monthly and an annual cost, sorts the list from most to least expensive, and totals the whole thing. It's built for reviewing streaming, software or membership subscriptions before a renewal, spotting the ones quietly eating your budget, or putting together a household spending plan.
The options cover the parts a plain sum can't. A home currency and a manual exchange rate fold a foreign-billed subscription into your own currency at a rate you set — nothing is fetched automatically, since all processing stays offline. VAT adds a percentage on top of every price. An annual payment discount reduces the cost of anything billed yearly, for a loyalty rate or coupon. A highlight threshold flags any subscription that takes up more than a chosen share of your total monthly spend, so the real budget drains stand out instead of hiding in a long list. A "uses per month" figure turns the monthly cost into a cost per day and a cost per use.
Lines with the wrong number of fields, an unrecognised period or a non-numeric amount are skipped and listed at the end rather than stopping the whole calculation. Windows (CRLF) and Unix (LF) line endings are both accepted, and a very long list is capped so it can't freeze the tab. The live tally below the output tracks the number of services and the combined monthly and annual totals as you type.
Everything runs locally in your browser — none of your subscriptions, prices or totals are ever uploaded anywhere. Copy the report, download it as a .txt file, or send the output back into the input to tweak a figure and recompute.
