Life progress calculator
Enter a date of birth and this tool works out exactly how long you have been alive — in days, weeks, months and years — and turns that into text progress bars: how far through an assumed life expectancy you are, plus how far through the current year, month, week and day. It is a quick way to picture time passing in concrete numbers instead of vague feelings, useful for a birthday reflection, a New Year check-in, or idle curiosity about how many days you have actually lived.
The life-expectancy percentage uses the "Life expectancy (years)" field, which defaults to 80 and accepts 1 to 130 — change it to model a different assumption and every bar updates immediately. "Progress bar style" switches the bars between solid Unicode blocks, plain ASCII characters (for contexts that don't render block glyphs well), or numbers only with no bar. "Show milestones" adds round-number life events — the 10,000th day, the 500,000th hour and similar — each marked as already reached or still ahead, with the date it falls on.
Dates are read as ISO (1990-05-14) or day.month.year (14.05.1990); one that cannot be parsed, or falls in the future, produces a plain explanation rather than a wrong number. All the figures are approximations built from calendar dates: the tool is never told an exact time of birth, and a year is treated as 365.2425 days on average, so read it as a picture of time passing rather than an actuarial calculation.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Your date of birth is never uploaded or stored anywhere outside this page. Copy the result, download it as a .txt file, or send it to another tool's input to keep working with it.
