SaaS quick ratio calculator
Paste one line per month or quarter — new MRR, expansion MRR, churned MRR and downgraded MRR, separated by semicolons — and this tool returns the SaaS quick ratio for every period: how many dollars of recurring revenue you win for every dollar you lose. A single line works too, formatted as new;expansion;churn;downgrade, and it is labelled automatically from the period you picked.
The quick ratio is (new MRR + expansion MRR) divided by (churned MRR + downgraded MRR). A ratio above 4 is read as excellent, 2 to 4 as healthy, 1 to 2 as weak — growth barely outrunning losses — and below 1 as shrinking, where the business is losing more revenue than it adds. Each period gets that verdict alongside net new MRR, and the summary line blends every period's gains and losses into one overall ratio rather than averaging the per-period numbers, which is the standard way SaaS teams report a blended figure across a quarter or a year.
Turn off "Include downgrade" to see the ratio using churn alone in the denominator — a variant some teams prefer — without touching net new MRR, which always accounts for the full downgrade figure. Turn on "Show growth rate and net retention" to add each period's revenue growth rate and net revenue retention, both measured against the MRR base built up from the rows above it, so the first row is reported as not available until a second one gives it something to compare against. Currency, number format (standard or compact, like 1.2K) and table-versus-text output are independent of the math.
Everything runs locally in your browser — your revenue figures are never uploaded or stored anywhere. Copy the report, download it as a .txt file, or send the output back into the input to adjust a figure and recalculate.
