Scrabble score calculator

Paste a list of words, one per line, and this tool scores each one against a built-in Scrabble letter-value table and ranks them from most to least valuable. It's built for players who want to check a word before playing it, compare a few candidates from an anagram list, or settle an argument about whether QUIZ really beats JUDGE.

Two letter sets are built in: the standard English tile values (A, E, I, O, U and the other common letters are worth 1 point; Q and Z are worth 10) and the official Slovak set, which scores Slovak letters — including diacritics like Č, Š, Ž, Ä and Ô — on their own values. Switch between them with the letter values option. Slovak digraphs such as ch, dz and dž have no single keyboard character in plain text, so they're scored letter by letter rather than as one premium tile.

Board multipliers model the premium squares on a real board: pick double or triple letter to multiply the value of one letter at a chosen position, or double or triple word to multiply the whole word's score once any of its letters lands on that position. Turn on the +50 bonus to add it automatically whenever a word uses exactly seven letters, matching the rule for clearing your rack in one turn.

Every word gets a full breakdown — each letter with its point value, the running subtotal, and the final score after multipliers and bonus — so you can see exactly how a total was reached. Everything runs in your browser: your word list is never uploaded. Copy the ranked list, download it as a .txt file, or send it to another tool to keep working with it.

FAQ

How is a word’s score calculated?
Each letter is looked up in the selected letter-value table and summed. If a board multiplier is set, the letter or word at the chosen position is doubled or tripled, and the +50 bonus is added last if the word uses exactly seven letters.
What’s the difference between the English and Slovak letter sets?
They use different point values for the same letters, and the Slovak set adds values for letters that don’t exist in English, like Č, Ľ, Ô and Ä. Pick the set that matches the game you’re playing.
How do double and triple multipliers work?
Set the multiplier position to the letter (counting from 1) that lands on the bonus square. A letter multiplier doubles or triples only that letter’s value; a word multiplier doubles or triples the whole word’s score once any letter of the word reaches that position.
How are Slovak digraphs like ch, dz and dž scored?
As separate letters, since this tool scores typed text rather than physical tiles — "ch" is scored as C plus H, not as one combined tile.
Is my word list uploaded anywhere?
No. Scoring runs entirely in your browser — your words never leave your device.
