Blood alcohol content calculator
Estimate blood alcohol level and time to sober up from a list of drinks.
Blood alcohol content calculator
Paste one drink per line as drink;volume;percent;time — for example Beer;500;5;20:00 — and this tool estimates blood alcohol content (BAC) using the Widmark formula, the same calculation used in most rough BAC estimators. Each line adds its own alcohol into the running total, and the tool reports the estimated level at the time of your last drink along with the estimated time you would reach 0.00‰.
Set gender and body weight, since the Widmark distribution ratio differs between them and changes how concentrated the same amount of alcohol becomes in the body. The elimination rate is adjustable too, because how fast a person's body processes alcohol varies; the default of 0.15‰ per hour is a commonly cited average. Turn on "Ate food before drinking" to apply a lower absorption estimate, choose whether drink volumes are in millilitres or fluid ounces, and enable the hour-by-hour view to see the level declining toward zero. The legal-limit option adds one line naming a selected country's limit purely for reference — it never changes the calculation and is not a substitute for knowing the actual law where you are.
Every number here is a rough estimate built from averages. Real blood alcohol depends on metabolism, medication, food timing, hydration, health conditions and other factors this formula cannot see, and can be meaningfully higher or lower than the estimate for two people who drank the same amount. The result is not medical or legal advice, and the tool marks its own warning lines clearly in the output: never use this number to decide whether it's safe to drive.
Everything runs locally in your browser — no drink log is ever uploaded anywhere. Copy the result, download it as a .txt file, or send it to another tool's input to keep working with it.
