Dream interpreter

Paste a few keywords or a short description of your dream and this tool scans it against a built-in dictionary of more than 200 traditional dream symbols — water, falling, teeth, flying, snakes and many more — and lists the meaning behind each one it finds. It works like an old-fashioned dream dictionary, matching whole words and phrases rather than guessing, so the same input always produces the same result.

Turn on "Show number of symbols found" to see a short summary line above the list, or turn on "Show full A–Z dictionary" to browse every entry in the built-in dictionary at once, sorted alphabetically, regardless of what you typed. Both options can be combined, and the result updates as you type, so you can add or remove details from your description and immediately see which symbols were recognized.

Matching is case-insensitive and ignores accents, so "café" and "cafe" — or a symbol typed with the wrong diacritics — are treated the same way. Windows and Unix line breaks are handled identically, and long descriptions are matched in full. If nothing in the dictionary matches your text, the tool says so instead of leaving the output blank, and the tally below the output always shows how many symbols were found.

Everything runs locally in your browser using plain JavaScript — no dream description is ever uploaded or sent to a server, which matters for something as private as what you dreamed. When you're done, copy the interpretation, download it as a .txt file, or clear the field and start over.

FAQ

How many dream symbols does the dictionary cover?
Over 200 common symbols — people, animals, places, objects and events that appear often in dreams — each with a short traditional meaning.
Does it use AI to interpret my dream?
No. It only matches words and phrases in your text against the built-in dictionary; there is no AI involved and nothing is analyzed beyond that lookup.
Why didn't it find any symbols in my dream?
The dictionary only recognizes specific words and short phrases. Try adding concrete nouns from your dream — objects, animals, people or places — instead of only feelings.
Can it handle diacritics or unusual spelling?
Yes. Matching ignores accents and capitalization, so "wàter" and "WATER" are both recognized as "water".
Is my dream description uploaded anywhere?
No. The interpretation runs entirely in your browser — your dream never leaves your device.
