Wedding hashtag generator
Turn a couple’s names into ready-to-use wedding hashtags.
Wedding hashtag generator
Type the couple's first names and this tool builds a batch of wedding hashtags ready to drop into an invitation, a save-the-date, or the Instagram bio couples set up for guests to tag photos with. It combines the two names several ways — straight joins like #EmmaAndJames, portmanteau blends that merge the names into one word, and bonus wordplay when the names happen to share an initial or rhyme — so you get more than one obvious option to choose from.
Paste the names as two lines, or on one line separated by a comma, "&", "+", "/" or "and". The style option shifts the flavor of the generated tags: romantic leans on words like Forever and TrueLove, funny goes for GotHitched and TiedTheKnot, elegant stays closer to NowUnited and HappilyEverAfter. Add a shared surname to unlock name-specific templates such as #FinallyTheSmiths and #MrAndMrsSmith, and add a wedding year or date to get a dated variant like #EmmaAndJames2026 — both fields are optional, and leaving either blank simply skips those templates. The count option controls how many hashtags come back, from a short shortlist up to a full batch of thirty.
Every generated hashtag passes a readability check before it appears: a candidate that would create a bare single-letter run — the kind of thing that makes a hashtag hard to parse at a glance — is quietly dropped rather than shown. Names are read as Unicode letters, so accented names keep their accents, emoji and stray punctuation are ignored, and Windows or Unix line endings are treated the same way.
Everything runs locally in your browser as you type — the couple's names are never sent anywhere. Copy the list, download it as a .txt file to share with a wedding planner, or clear the input and start over with a different pair.
