Zodiac compatibility calculator
Score how well two zodiac signs or birth dates get along, by element and modality.
Zodiac compatibility calculator
Paste two zodiac signs, or two birth dates, one pair per line, and this tool scores how compatible they are using the classic astrology rules: the four elements (fire, earth, air, water) and the three modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable). Each pair gets a percentage score and a short built-in description of the dynamic between them.
Switch "Read entries as" between zodiac signs and birth dates. In sign mode, type the English sign name on each side of a pair — Aries, Leo, Taurus and so on. In date mode, pick the date format that matches what you're pasting (YYYY-MM-DD, DD.MM.YYYY or MM.DD.YYYY) and the tool works out each person's sign from a fixed tropical calendar before scoring the pair. Turn on "Show element and modality details" to see each sign's element and modality spelled out under the score, along with the short compatibility note — turn it off for just the percentage.
You can score several pairs in one go: put each pair on its own line, separated by a comma, an ampersand, "vs" or "and" ("Aries, Leo" or "Taurus vs Virgo" both work). A line that isn't a recognizable pair is skipped rather than stopping the batch, and the tally under the output reports how many pairs were scored, the average score and how many lines were skipped. The scoring itself weighs element affinity more heavily than modality — same-element pairs and classic complementary pairs (fire with air, earth with water) score highest, opposing elements (fire with water) score lowest, and matching modalities pull the score down slightly since two cardinal or two fixed signs tend to compete rather than balance each other.
Everything runs locally in your browser — no birth date or sign you type is ever uploaded or stored anywhere. Copy the result, download it as a .txt file, or send it straight to another tool like the zodiac sign finder to look up a date in more detail.
