Resignation letter generator
Resigning from a job is stressful enough without staring at a blank page. This tool builds a complete resignation letter from a handful of fields — your name, job title, company, and last working day — and an optional reason you can type in your own words. Pick a tone and the letter is ready to copy, download or drop into an email.
Three tones cover most situations. Formal reads like a traditional printed letter, complete with a full closing paragraph offering to help with the handover. Friendly keeps the same structure but softer, warmer wording, useful when you get along well with your manager. Brief strips the letter down to the essentials — what, when and thanks — for when you just need something short and professional. The notice period option adds a sentence naming the standard two-week, one-month or two-month period, or you can leave it out entirely if your last day already says everything that needs saying. The thank-you toggle adds or removes a paragraph acknowledging your time at the company.
The reason field is intentionally optional and free-form: type as little as "pursuing a new opportunity" or as much as you like, and the tool turns it into a properly capitalized sentence with punctuation handled for you. Every letter ends with a short note that this is a template, not legal advice — check your contract and local labor laws before sending anything, since notice periods and obligations vary by country and by employer.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing you type — your name, your reason for leaving, your employer's name — is ever sent anywhere. Once the letter looks right, copy it to your clipboard, download it as a .txt file, or clear the form and start again.
