Corporate jargon translator

Paste corporate emails, meeting notes or performance reviews stuffed with buzzwords, and this tool switches them into plain English — or does the opposite, dressing up plain text as boardroom-ready jargon. It is built for anyone who has stared at "let's circle back and touch base to move the needle" and just wanted to know what someone meant.

Direction picks which way the translation runs. "To plain English" strips buzzwords using a built-in dictionary of more than 180 corporate phrases and idioms; "To corporate speak" goes the other way, swapping everyday words for their jargon equivalent, for satire, training material or just a laugh. Intensity controls how aggressively it matches: light only touches unambiguous idioms like "low-hanging fruit", medium adds common business nouns such as "synergy" and "stakeholder", and heavy also swaps ordinary words that read as jargon in context, like "leverage" and "align". Turn on highlight replaced phrases to wrap every swap in double brackets so it is easy to see what changed, and list buzzwords found to append a frequency count of every term the tool touched.

Matching is whole-phrase and case-insensitive, so "Circle Back" and "circle back" are both caught without touching unrelated words such as "unaligned". Longer phrases are matched before shorter ones, capitalization at the start of a match carries over to its replacement, and the tool treats Windows and Unix line endings the same way. Very long documents are processed in one pass, and the tally beneath the output reports how many phrases changed as you type.

Translation runs entirely in your browser. No text is ever uploaded to a server, so it is safe to paste an internal memo or a draft email. Copy the result, download it as a .txt file, or clear the input and start over.

FAQ

How big is the buzzword dictionary?
It covers more than 180 corporate phrases and idioms, from single words like "synergy" to full idioms like "boil the ocean".
What's the difference between the intensity levels?
Light only swaps unambiguous idioms, medium adds common business nouns, and heavy also swaps ordinary words that read as jargon in context, such as "leverage" or "align".
Can I turn plain text into corporate jargon on purpose?
Yes. Set direction to "To corporate speak" and the tool inserts jargon in place of everyday words instead of removing it.
Does it understand grammar, or just swap phrases?
It matches and swaps whole phrases; it does not rewrite sentence structure, so an occasional replacement can read slightly awkwardly.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Translation runs entirely in your browser — your text never leaves your device.
